Bericht 2001

Hello Susan,
Now we have done the marathon and we want do give you a response.
We enjoyed the run for the excellent weather conditions (almost too hot at
least in the end) and the good organisation along the track, thanks to all
the volunteers. Despite that we want to make several remarks to improve
coming events.
Firstly it would have been very helpful if there were food like bananas or
power bars provided along the track.
It was also difficult to get there. Providing transportation to and from the
event e.g. shuttles or free riding on public transportation would have been
very helpful.
Intermediate time measurements especially at the half marathon point would
have been a good information and is standard at international level.
Since the participation fee with $150 was already quite expensive there was
still an additional charge of $40 for the pasta party.
For a town as big as Sydney we would have expected many more spectators and
events like music along the blue line.
and at least: the great first part of the marathon (harbour bridge, opera
house, park) is followed by an really boring part: big streets along
walls....
Overall even if it may not sound like we enjoyed it very much still we wish
to express our thanks for make it happen.
